Inspection Reports

Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspects education and skills provisions for learners of all ages, including schools, childminders, training providers, and local authorities. These findings are shared publicly to support review and regulation.

Changes to Ofsted Judgements for Schools in England

In 2025 a new Inspection Toolkit came into use for all inspections in England. This new Toolkit replaced the previous inspection framework in place for several years. Ofsted have adopted a new 'Report Card' approach to summarising a school's strengths and areas for development.

How will school performance be communicated?

Schools will now be judged on the following areas during inspections: Safeguarding, Inclusion, Curriculum and Teaching, Achievement, Attendance and Behaviour and Early Years. Each area will be graded as either 'Exceptional', 'Strong Standard', 'Expected Standard', 'Needs Attention' or 'Urgent Improvement'.
